I was recommended to use Staged Homes by our real estate agent when selling a rental property which was vacant, however had been our home for 7 years prior. I had considered furnishing the house myself, however with so much to do already in preparing the house for sale on a tight timeline, as well as a young family and a business to run- I decided it would be more time efficient to outsource the job. When we purchased our home it had been staged for sale by staged homes. It looked gorgeous on the net and gorgeous at the opens, so of course we bought it! At our settlement meeting in the house, we observed the property void of furniture and hangings and it felt smaller, colder, less loved and lived in, hoever it was still a great home which camoe back to life and delivered in spades when we moved in.

When it came time for us to sell it was an easy decision to involve Staged Homes in our sales compaign, infact we settled on our staging team before we'd even decided which agents to go with! We knew the house would sell itself if furnished and presented well.

Katrina and her team staged for us and we were extremely happy with the way they presented our home! They delivered beyond our expectations and as a reult we sold the house substantially above the bracket on the first weekend of our campaign in a well publicised bearish Melbourne market - tipped to be a once in a generation slide. Naturally my wife and i were wrapped, and we knew that staging the house well - giving the buyer opportunity to experience it's full potential - was quintessential in acquiring the result we got.

In placing a dollar value on our decision to stage with staged homes, we fell that we gained at least $40,000 on the sale price advised by the agent (affirmed by my own research and speculation). As importantly as selling above range, we sold the house(full stop) in a really tough market! A couple of mohtns on we purchased an unstaged house that had been languishing on the market for a few months due in part to it's lack luster presentation. We bought it $60,000 under bracket and learned the power of presneting a home for sale.

"Dear Katrina, I will remember your advice forever. "It's not for you Jan, it's for the buyer." In the end I never did paint the bathroom blue. The house sold before the painter could get it painted, so I left it at that. Thank you so much for helping.
